I grew up in Buhl and graduated from Buhl high school in 1996. After graduation, I went into the United States Marine Corps. I served in the Marine Corps for four years and got out in 2000. After getting out of the Marine Corps, I went to college and attended BSU. After the attack on September 11 2001, I volunteered and went back into the Marine Corps. After getting back out of the Marine Corps.
I met my children’s mother and was blessed with three wonderful children. Why my kids were young I coached several different youth sports.
I’ve been a plumber in the community for over 20 years. In 2013 I started my own plumbing company. I have been serving the community of Buhl and the surrounding area since. I have always enjoyed volunteering in the community and helping out with the citizens of Buhl. Now that my children are older I have the time to help out in a bigger role for the citizens of Buhl.
Being a small business owner I understand the importance of deadlines, budgets and how communication helps everything works smoothly.

How are you currently serving in Buhl? What past or current community activities have shaped your approach to leadership?

Being a plumber here in Buhl has given me the opportunity to be in several citizens homes and hearing the concerns that they have for Buhl. Why coaching different youth sports in the community? It has taught me that the more that the community involves themselves the better Buhl can be.

Transparency

How do you plan to address the community’s concerns about trust and transparency in local government decisions?

I plan to address the community's concerns about trust and transparency in our local government by explaining why I may vote a certain way. Trying to get social media more involved in an accurate occurrence in Buhl.
Division
How will you work to bridge divides in our community, especially among groups with differing views?

To bridge the divides in our community I will listen to all points of view. I will be transparent, in why we may or may not be able to do something and help as much as possible so that all needs may be met.
Public Input

What role do you believe public input should play in your decision-making process if elected?

I believe that public input into decision-making is very important. The more that the community gets involved, the better off Buhl will be.
City of Buhl - urgent needs
What is one specific issue facing the City of Buhl that you believe needs immediate attention, and how would you approach it?

A specific issue facing the City of Buhl that needs immediate attention is the trailer ordinance. Why this ordinance was made was to keep the roads clear of clutter. It needs to be more specific, and allow the use of trailers and parking for more than just loading and unloading. By working with council members, I believe that we could get this amended and work better for all citizens of Buhl.
Trailer Parking and the Pool
The city council’s decisions to close the community pool and ban trailer parking on city roads have sparked significant debate. How would you address these concerns and balance community needs with safety and budget restraints?

The closure of the pool this year was unfortunate for the citizens of Buhl. I worked there as a teenager and I’ve had two children work there over the summer. I know what a great asset it is for the youth and all citizens of Buhl. I would like to see the hiring of lifeguards start sooner in the year. Why the trailer ordinance has been around for years. It has not been enforced until recently. I believe that more clarification needs to be in the ordinance.
City Infrastructure
What strategies would you propose to improve Buhl’s infrastructure and services while maintaining fiscal responsibility?

A strategy that I would like to propose to help maintain Buhl's infrastructure is to look into more state and federal grants.
Economic Development
How would you support economic development in Buhl to attract businesses and jobs while preserving our small-town character?

While growth is inevitable it needs to be done wisely. We all live here because we enjoy this small town. I would support economic development by supporting the right businesses to fill the needs of the residence. The input of the Buhl residence is needed.
